We are fully trained in the art of hot waxing - all trained at the Lycon training academy in London - and even hold certificates in advanced hot waxing for the intimate area...so be rest assured we know how to give the best, most comfortable waxing service to our clients.
Lycon hot wax shrink wraps and removes hair as short as 1mm. An oil is used first to stop the wax sticking to the skin, so it is literally just the hair it is removing. Much more comfortable than strip waxing, some find it actually lasts longer, as it removes the shorter hairs at the same time.
Perfect for sensitive skins and it leaves no sticky residue and no long lasting stinging. Much better for those more ‘intimate’ areas!
Here at Utopia we use the 'So Berry' hot wax - a pink wax with the delicious scent of strawberries and cream...as well as 'Manifico' for those extra tough hairs…
And not only that, we have the fantastic Lycojet wax to grab those extra fine hairs left at the end, meaning only one thing...no tweezing!

There are three different stages of hair growth - and all the hairs grow at different stages. Regular waxing means that by pulling the hair out by the root, a new hair has to grow each time. Over time, these hairs become much weaker, finer, and eventually all start to grow at the same time. This gives long lasting results - easier than shaving every 2/3 days!

Threading is an ancient method of hair removal commonly used in Asia. A special antibacterial cotton is twisted round and round and as it is rolled over the hair, removes it at follicle level. Unlike tweezing where a single hair is pulled out each time, threading can remove an entire row of hair, resulting in a straighter line. Perfect for very sensitised skin not suited to waxing.
